The Ruined World Was Mistaken for a Game - Synopsis

“Let’s turn this dying world into a game.”

Kim Jin-woo is a game director who suddenly finds himself summoned to another world under the name Arsilan. After enduring years of brutal battles, he eventually reaches the level of an Archmage. But even that immense power is nowhere near enough to save his world from the mysterious creatures known as “Erosions.”

With the ability to resist Erosion granted by his origins on Earth, Jin-woo is the only one capable of fighting them without being corrupted. Yet facing an endless horde of Erosions alone is impossible, especially with the world destined to fall within just three years.

“I’m tired. I just want to give everything up and rest.”

When Jin-woo finally abandons all hope and empties his mind, something unexpected happens. He breaks through his limits and ascends as a Transcendent, awakening an absolute power known as the “Gate of Souls.”

The Gate allows him to freely travel between Earth and Arsilan. More importantly, Jin-woo discovers that Earthlings share the same immunity to Erosion. So he comes up with an outrageous plan: summon people from Earth, disguise Arsilan as a game, and send these unsuspecting “players” into battle against the Erosions.

Thus begins the “Arsilan Saga Project.”

A burned-out game director becomes a Transcendent, turns a doomed world into the ultimate game scenario, and recruits countless players from Earth to fight for its survival.
