Got Dropped into a Ghost Story, Still Gotta Work

I gave up my precious vacation just to attend a pop-up event for a modern fantasy series I absolutely loved.

Ironically, that turned out to be the very day I was transported into its world.

And I didn’t become some legendary hero or powerful protagonist. Instead, I woke up as a newly hired employee at one of the world’s most prestigious corporations—a dream company with excellent benefits, an impressive salary, and supportive, highly capable bosses.

Thanks to my knowledge of the original story, climbing the corporate ladder should have been easy.

And sure enough, I quickly started rising through the ranks.

So, am I living the dream?

Not even close.

Please…

Just let me go home.
